24 pages total: activities are on pages 1-12 and matching answers are on pages 13-24. No sign-up and no watermark. Every wall layout and line-art icon is original.

Print just one kids maze

Choose #1 Busy Bee Garden for a first maze or #10 Camp Trail for a longer challenge. Each puzzle and its matching answer are separate one-page PDF files in US Letter and A4. These are the same verified wall layouts already in the 12-maze pack; they do not add new mazes.

Keep the full 12-maze pack above when you want every activity. The single-page files let you print one activity without selecting a page from the 24-page pack; download its answer separately when needed.

Preview and choose a puzzle or answer page

Choose a page from the actual PDF contents. The links open the complete 24-page file at your selection when supported by your PDF viewer; they are not separate single-page files.

In the print dialog, enter page 1 to print only that page. Some pages contain more than one puzzle or answer.

Choose a kids maze level

First Steps, Growing Solvers, and Confident Solvers describe the corridor size and route complexity in this pack. The age notes are starting points; choose by how comfortably the child follows the first page.

Choose a first maze or a favorite story

These choices come from the same 12-maze pack. Each uses a rectangular grid with story pictures at START and FINISH. The links on the cards below open the full PDF at the named maze or answer page; enter that page number in the print dialog.

Which maze should my child start with?

LevelStarting pointMaze designMove level when...
First StepsAges 4-56 x 6 cells; widest corridors; short missionsMove up after two pages are finished with steady tracing and little erasing.
Growing SolversAges 6-78 x 8 cells; more junctions and wrong turnsMove down if several early junctions cause repeated restarts; move up when scanning happens before drawing.
Confident SolversAges 8-1010 x 10 cells; longer routes and more dead endsStay here while the challenge feels satisfying. Switch to the all-level printable mazes for denser grids.

Ages are a starting point, not a score. A rested beginner may enjoy the same page that feels too busy at the end of a long day. Watch the pencil: smooth progress means the level is close; crossing walls or erasing at every junction means it is time to step down.

How every kids maze is checked

Every cell is reachable

A graph walk must visit every cell. A sealed section stops publication.

One route is guaranteed

Each connected maze has exactly one fewer passage than cells, so its graph is a tree with one route between START and FINISH.

The answer is replayed

Every saved answer step must cross an open wall between neighboring cells. Duplicate layouts and any PZ26 reuse are rejected.

How to help without solving it for them

  1. Ask the child to finger-trace from START before using a crayon or pencil.
  2. At each junction, look one or two cells ahead for an obvious dead end.
  3. When a route closes, return only to the last choice instead of starting over.
  4. Cover part of a busy maze with scrap paper so only one section is visible.
  5. Check the matching answer page after a complete try, then trace the route again.

Printing and use permission

Choose Letter for 8.5 x 11-inch paper or A4 for 210 x 297-mm paper. Print at 100% or actual size to preserve the corridor width. Pages 1-12 contain activities; pages 13-24 contain answers. You may print copies for personal use, one classroom, a library activity, or a care group. Please do not resell or re-upload the files.

Prefer a broader challenge? The 12 all-level printable mazes use 12 x 12, 18 x 18, and 26 x 26 grids for general puzzle users.
