How to use and check the crosswords
Say, spell, cross
On picture pages, say the object aloud and write one letter per square. Leave the word bank visible or cover it for a harder version.
Crossings verify letters
All 96 answers are in connected grids. The production check reads every Across and Down entry back from its coordinates and verifies shared letters.
Answers stay separate
Pages 1–10 are blank activities. Pages 11–20 repeat the same grids with letters filled and list every answer.
Printing tips
Use Letter for 8.5×11-inch paper or A4 for 210×297-mm paper. Print at 100% or Actual Size. Pencil makes it easier to revise a crossing answer.
You may print copies for personal use, one classroom, a library activity, or a homeschool group. Please do not resell or redistribute the PDF files.

What ages are these kids crosswords for?
The progression is roughly ages 5–12, but reading ability varies. Picture pages suit emerging readers with support; the last two pages suit confident readers.
Do the PDFs include answers?
Yes. Every puzzle has a filled solution in the second half of the same file.
Can I remove the word bank?
Cover it with a strip of paper before copying or solving.
Are Letter and A4 different files?
Yes. Each PDF uses the true paper size named on its button.
